The goals of this contest include:

Improving predictive capabilities in future emergencies

Guiding the implementation of control measures

Illustrating how data quality and availability affect prediction accuracy
Epidemic trajectories are simulated under 4 scenarios representing different epidemiologic conditions, behavioral changes, interventions measures, and data availability. 

Participants are asked to make forecasts at 5 time points of the simulated epidemics. The challenge runs from September to December 2015.
